BEFORE MY STROKE...
I was an active, hard-working woman raising two boys.
AFTER MY STROKE...
I was in the hospital/full-time rehab for over 7 months.
STILL FIGHTING MY STROKE...
I'm at home, now. Still fighting to walk & care for myself.
It's not easy...
SO, I STILL NEED YOUR HELP TO GET BETTER EVERY DAY!

Also... I JUST PEED MY PANTS! (No... seriously, I did)
STROKE'S NO JOKE....IT SUCKS!
But with your help, I can beat this stroke!
I'M A FIGHTER & I'M NOT GIVING UP!

THANK YOU, AGAIN, FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
I'd like to thank everyone for their ongoing support!
I apologize for the delayed updates on my recovery status.
As many of you know, last July, I had a majorly debilitating stroke that took away my ability to walk, talk, and even eat food!
It’s been a little over a year since the stroke and things have been quite challenging.
Due to not having long-term disability insurance, I was sent home earlier than expected from full-time rehabilitation facility and have been recovering at home with the help of my family & friends and weekly out-patient rehabilitation therapy.
We’ve had to adjust to new living arrangements, transportation methods, new schedules, new treatments, and new techniques in how to rehab and recover from a major stroke.
Being labeled as DISABLED is hard to accept.
But having YOUR SUPPORT during this difficult time has made ALL THE DIFFERENCE in helping me stay focused, positive, and working hard toward a full recovery. THANK YOU!
Thank you to everyone who visited me while I was at the 24-hour, Mount Dora in-patient recovery facility!
Also, a big “Thank You” to the potluck sisters (Joy, Shannon, and Kirsten) who have helped encourage me during their weekly visits.
I have continued to make excellent progress re-learning to walk.
So far, the at-home recovery journey has included the following:
- Home Workouts with Family & Friends
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Acupuncture
My physical, occupational, and speech therapy with Brooks Rehabilitation are showing great results!
Several people have asked how they can help.
Right now, your donation support will help me fight this stroke in the following ways:
- Perispinal Etanercept Stroke Treatment- a cutting edge new stroke treatment that could help rapidly repair and possibly reverse the effects of my stroke.
- Rehab & Recover Therapy- continued recovery & rehab therapy.
- Medical & Living Expenses while recovering from the stroke.
Thank you, again, for all your ongoing donations, help, support, wishes, and prayers!
Your donations are greatly appreciated!
All donations are tax deductible.
I pray everyone stays healthy, happy, and stroke-free!
XOXOXO
