Please Help Jerry Rebuild his Home
Jerry Kosack is a Doylestown native, born In the original Doylestown Hospital & he is in desperate need of our help. A few weeks ago Jerry lost everything. He was told if he had stayed in his home one more day he would not be here today.
As we all know COVID has had a tremendous negative impact. At the beginning of the pandemic Jerry, who is retired, lost his part time position due to the shut down. Following the shut down on 03/20/20 Jerry suffered a major heart attack. Jerry also battles with COPD. With the stress of recovery, means of income, and medical bills Jerry has struggled tremendously.
As a senior citizen Jerry has been extremely limited & this has affected his quality of life like so many others. Unfortunately during this time of stress, struggle, and increasing financial burdens a failed shut off valve within his home had been slowly causing devastating damage. Near the holidays it faltered beyond repair and Jerry’s home completely flooded. Due to the nature of his health and finances he was not able to afford immediate assistance. When I say Jerry lost everything it is no exaggeration, down to the very clothes on his back with the financial pressures during this time he did not have the proper coverage via insurance. The stress of losing his home was so tremendous Jerry was admitted to the hospital again on 01/21/ 21.
As of today with the generous help of local workers the following will be required to bring Jerry’s home back to a livable space:
-10 New Doors & Trim
-All New flooring
-All New Kitchen Cabinets and Appliances
-Full Restoration & Rot removal within the Mechanical room and Bathroom
-A min. of 2 ft of dry wall replacement on all walls throughout home
-Spackle/ painting
-All new baseboard heating
-All New furnishings ( couch, dining room table etc...)

Jerry exhausted what little expenses he and his family could gather for the rehabilitation crew to remove the water, black mold, and perform water sealing.
It broke our hearts to see a senior who is known for his cheeky jokes, who loves to laugh and spend time within his community become so broken. No one deserves to lose everything and have to see their entire life reduced to trash bags in a dumpster.
