Please Help Jerry Gallegos, massive stroke victim

This is difficult to write but I am asking for help for my husband and my family. My husband, Jerry Gallegos, had a massive stroke on February 13, 2022. This was very unexpected as Jerry has always been healthy, active, and rarely sick. Docs haven't been able to determine the reason behind his stroke. He was in ICU for 4 days due to complications from the stroke. At one point, he had a midline shift, which is very bad, but our prayers were answered and it was only minimal and then the swelling in the brain reached its peak. He was then moved to the main hospital for 3 days and now he is in an inpatient intensive rehabilitation hospital for 4 weeks. He currently has no sensation and no movement on the left side of his body. His cognitive function has also been affected by the stroke. He works 3.5 hours a day with a speech therapist, occupational therapist, and a physical therapist. He also has a doctor and a nurse practioner who see him daily.
He is very determined to walk again and to regain all of his functions. Some days are worse than others but he has been able to maintain a positive spirit most of the time. I am by his side 15 to 24 hours a day. Our children, ages 12, 16, 23, and 26, have been on their own. They are wonderful kids and have taken on much more than young people their age should have to worry about. But they understand that I have to be with their dad. We cannot let him get depressed because that would really hinder his success in therapy.
Due to his condition, he obviously won't be able to work and my work was mainly billing, contracts, and meeting with clients. But my part of the work had almost ceased due to my own health problems. Long story short on my end, I have an invisible tumor which means my brain thinks I have a tumor and it causes my body to act as if I had one. It can cause me to go blind. We were going to find out how far along I was on Feb 16th but there was no way I was leaving Jerry's side to go to my doctor's appointment.
Anyhow, the reason I am asking for help is because we need to make our home handicap accessible before Jerry can come home. In addition to that, we have no income coming in and even if I get a job, I cant leave him for the first few months. The first 6 months is the most crucial part of his recovery. We want him to get back as much function as he can and that means 24 hour care. We can't afford, nor does our insurance include, a 24 hour home health nurse/therapist. Even if they did, Jerry would want it to be me.
So we are asking for finacial help to fix up the house and buy the necessary medical equipment (insurance only covers one walking aid) and to help pay the bills until its safe to leave Jerry at home while I work. Doctors told Jerry that he will not be able to work again. This is the most heartbreaking news to him because he is a workaholic. He is working hard with his therapy to prove the doctors wrong.
It goes without saying that anyone who knows Jerry knows that he helps everyone all the time. He is always the guy that everyone calls when they need something. It's not like Jerry or I to ask anyone for help, especially for money. If he was in his right mind right now, he would hate that I'm asking for help for our family. He is a very proud man and he works for everything we have. He is the absolute best father and will do anything for his children and for me. Everybody loves him. Even here at the hospital, nurses are bringing him Pepsi's and staff comes in to say they are gonna be off for a few days and wish him well until they return. He has quickly grown on everyone as he is in many ways still the same Jerry; friendly, wanting to please, and telling jokes.
If you are unable to help financially, please share this post and more than anything, please pray that he gets back what he has lost. Thank you all and thank you God for not taking him from us even though he was extremely close to death.
