Jeremiah is my brother and Kisha is my sister in law, and their world has been turned upside down in a very short amount of time. About a week ago Kisha noticed a blistering spot on her leg, but couldn’t recall any injury. The next day she woke to find her leg very swollen and red. It happened very quickly. Unable to walk and in a lot of pain they called an ambulance and went to the hospital. She was then diagnosed with cellulitis but unfortunately didn’t respond to antibiotics. Kisha was then transferred to another hospital where she was informed that she had a high probability of losing the bottom half of her leg. Jeremiah and Kisha were devastated. In just one week she has had three surgeries to remove dead tissue in her leg leaving her with a future dependent on a brace for her leg, as well as some type of walking device such as a cane. She will no longer be able to move her foot. After her third surgery the doctor did become more hopeful that she wouldn’t need an amputation, but that is still to be determined. She has another surgery scheduled for tomorrow Jan 5th where he will remove more dead tissue. Kisha is in shock, and worried for her future. We all are. This horrific event happened just as Jeremiah was starting a new job, as he has been off work for a medical issue since 2019. Kisha has been the main provider for them. Now, they have no income. He had to quit this new job he started two days after her diagnosis to be with his wife, who needed him now more than ever. Friends, God calls us to help each other. It’s just the right thing to do. Imagine if this happened to you or a loved one. This is something that could happen to ANYONE. At the very least, please say some prayers for them and share this link. I know they will be so grateful for anything you can do. Thank you.
