Please help Jeffry beat Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer

To say you never know what tomorrow holds is an understatement, as this family sadly realized this past month.

Meet the Kerre family, our extended family. We became family not by blood, but by love, and friendship.

Jeffry, Mandy, Sydney, and Shelby are a family in Rochester Hills Michigan. They enjoy spending time as a family listing to music, sharing dinners, and watching the girls grow into beautiful young women.

Jeffry and Mandy we’re getting ready for another special milestone in their family. Their oldest daughter Sydney was days away from graduating Dental School, when Jeffry fell Ill.

He found a lump in his neck. Immediately they made a doctors appointment, where he was sent directly to the hospital for a CT scan. The doctor suspected something serious, and acted very quickly.

That was barely three weeks ago.

Since then Jeffry’s life has included a 15 day hospital stay, several biopsies, and three major surgeries.

And a diagnosis no one ever expected. They removed a baseball size tumor, over 40 lymph nodes and his Larynx.

Jeffry has Anaplastic Thyroid cancer, an extremely rare, life threatening diagnosis.

Jeff is a self employed painter, who has worked for over 30 years. He is a proud man, a husband to Mandy and a dad to two beautiful daughters Sydney and Shelby.

They all need help right now.

Jeffry was released from the hospital with a gastric feeding tube, and a wound vac due to his recent very invasive surgeries. He can not swallow anything by mouth.

Jeffry will begin Chemotherapy, and Radiation next week. It is very risky due to the fact that he has a wound vac, but the doctors want to waste no time.

Mandy is struggling, to figure out how she is going to be able to work, and care for Jeffry as he undergoes treatment. He needs 24 hour care. With feedings, Medications, transportation to treatments, and doctors appointments.

After seeing the doctors yesterday, they were advised that the best chance to beat this aggressive cancer is to be treated in Houston TX at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Jeffry is in good spirits, he Is doing his best to remain positive. He is determined to beat this cancer.
