Life can really be tough when you dont have the funds to help your child get all the treatments they need to help them. I met Jazz through our church special needs ministry. I quickly realized how smart she is, artistic, and caring. Her story is very special and hopefully with added therapy she can reach her goal to help other special needs children.

Here is her story:

Jas was a normal healthy girl, until the age of 13 in September 2022 she passed out at school and after that her world changed completely.

After her medical episode and 4 different hospital it took 3 months of in and out of the hospital just to find out what was wrong with her, until she was finally diagnosed with (FND) Functional Neurological Disorder and (PNES) Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. Since then she has not been the same. Jas has developed extreme anxiety and depression disorder, little did we know that she was also struggling with mental illness and PTSD .

Jas has some past trauma that resurfaced during the process of us finding out what was happening to her. Now , between her diagnosis and her mental illness and anxiety and depression she’s not able to attend school, the other classmates make it impossible for her with the constant bullying ,she tried so hard to fit in and to be a normal teenager in high school, but how can she when she has so much going on that is out of her control.

In the past 2 years Jas has been in and out of hospitals and mental health facilities With the high rise of medical costs the bills have been piling up ever since.

With a family of 6 and just one source of income we are having an extremely difficult time trying to catch up with them , but they just keep coming.

Jas needs therapy sessions every week and she needs to see her psychiatrist, 2 times a month, that alone is a lot.

Jas also needs to see a psychologist and other therapy treatments, like EMDR,group therapy, nerulolink therapy and she also needs to see other specialist that we can’t simply keep up with financially.

Our family is not the type of people that like to ask for help, let alone anything that has to do with money. But here we are in need of some help with our Jas.
