On February 5 at approximately 3am Shannon received a call that her husband, Jason, was taken by squad from his semi truck, to a hospital in Mississippi, for what was thought to have been a heart attack. It was discovered that he had Leukemia and his white blood cell count was dangerously high. He was quickly transferred to a hospital in Nashville, TN that was better equipped to handle his immediate needs and get him stabilized. Jason will transition to the care of an oncologist with The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus OH where he will receive treatment with his family by his side. While the prognosis is positive at this time, it will still take time to get established and start treatment with the new oncologist in Columbus. We are hoping to provide support for this family, to cover bills, medication, groceries and expenses so that they may focus on healing. Shannon left her career at the Franklin Co Sheriffs Office, after 16 years of service, to care for their 7 year old son that is severely autistic and requires one on one supervision all the time. Jason is the sole provider for their family and we are hoping to collect enough to bridge the gap until he is back on his feet an able to drive again. As your can tell from the picture family is everything to Jason & sometimes it takes a village. Please help me be their village.
