Please help Jamie and the Girls start over

Jamie Muniz is a loving and devoted mother, a kind and caring friend, and proud supporter of our military from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Recently, she and her two daughters have experienced a devastating turn of events which have led to an unexpected, expedited divorce with an immediate move. While their situation is dire, it's also quite personal and sensitive, so for their privacy and protection, we cannot share any additional further details about what is going on, but we can share what we are hoping to accomplish here today.

Unfortunately, Jamie and the Girls are not expecting any financial assistance or support from the estranged husband/father any time soon and they are being forced to start over from scratch. Jamie remains optimistic about the future as she pivots toward searching for full time employment; however, she is rightfully concerned about finding her footing and an affordable new residence. With her two daughters in tow and her home on the market, Jamie will need to find a new place for them to live quickly.

At the very least, Jamie would like to stay in Virginia, preferably in Virginia Beach. Ideally, they'd be able to remain in the same familiar school district where her daughters would experience the least amount of disruption in an already chaotic time alongside the friends they have already had and support systems they've already built. This, in addition to not having to plan an even larger move out-of-town or out-of-state, would significantly reduce stress for Jamie as she turns over a new leaf too.

Here is where all of us can help Jamie and the Girls out - the most distressing issue right now is their move. While they are currently in their family home, it is on the market with multiple offers already, so the clock is ticking down quickly. Due to the immediate and unexpected nature of their situation, they need help securing and funding an apartment until Jamie and her daughters can adjust to their new lives, readjust finances, and find full time employment. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help Jamie with the first and last month's deposit, and up to 12 months of rent/utilities. This amount will help keep Jamie and the Girls secure as they find their footing and navigate this new chapter.
