Please help James hes having Hip Surgery Thursday

Hello I'm James Jefferson's mom Veronica. I'm reaching out to our friends and family for help.

James is about to undergo Bilateral Hip Surgery, one hip at a time. His expected recovery time is about 3-6 months each time so he has a long journey ahead of him.

Those of you who have known James since being diagnosed with Chiari Malformation at age 13 have seen him go through two Craniotomies, Spinal Fusion surgery to correct his severe scoliosis and now he will be having bilateral Hip Surgery.

You have seen James endure pain that most kids or adults have never had to experience and he's always amazed us with his strength.

It really has affected his quality of life. The constant pain has made it difficult to walk, sleep, and he's had to give up playing disc golf which has always been his passion.

James is an amazing strong young man now not "lil man" anymore . Those of you in the disc golf community that have known James since he began competing at age 9 know how good he is and know that these surgeries have really kept him from reaching his full potential and reaching the professional level he always dreamed of since competing in the World championships at age 10,11, and 12.

Many of the kids he played with at The World Championships are touring professionals now and James hopes to recover and get to competing at that level again.

Unfortunately the money I had set aside to help with his surgery just went to fixing my truck that broke down 2 days ago so I am asking for help for James so that he can focus on his recovery and not have to stress about money and bills.

James has a $2000 deductible I'm trying to fundraiser for and anything additional will help pay for his rent, food, bills and anything else he may need while recovering from surgery.

James is scheduled for surgery this Thursday 8/31/23 in Reno. He will be in a lot of pain and unable to return to work or disc golf for a few months.

No donation is too small and is greatly appreciated. I thank you in advanced for always loving and supporting James it means more to us then you know.
