Please HELP Jake with his accident recovery

Thank you for taking the time to read this story. My name is Dan Andrews and I am fundraising for my older brother, Jake Andrews. Jake was in a motorcycle accident this past week on Thursday night, April 21st, 2022. Since the accident, he has undergone two surgeries for his extensive injuries. His right leg has multiple fractures, multiple road rash wounds, an exposed muscle group on his calf that will require skin grafting, and some internal clots and bleeding that the doctors have been trying to remedy. He also has broken teeth with road rash and cuts on his face. The Thedacare Regional Medical Center staff have been tremendous in Jake’s progress thus far. My parents, John and Sharon Andrews, have done everything they can to provide comfort and peace of mind for Jake during this time. All the while, they have been trying to maintain their own mental hardships while witnessing their son in his condition, which no parent should ever have to see. They have been trying to plan and tackle Jake’s road to recovery which will include multiple obstacles and serious lifestyle adjustments once he is released from the hospital. Unfortunately, my family and I have come to learn that Jake will be leaving the hospital with a large amount of debt. Jake had already been struggling financially before his accident and now the situation is much more dire. Since being in Jake’s presence and trying to coordinate with hospital staff about how to pay for his medical bills, we have come to realize that we cannot do it on our own. Jake had just started a new job a few months ago and hasn’t been employed long enough to begin a health insurance plan, meanwhile he had lost insurance from his previous employer due to Covid circumstances. Being in this accident has left Jake in a position of insurmountable stress and the financial burden that will weigh heavy on both him and my family. We all make mistakes and like the proud Andrews that Jake is, he didn’t want to ask for help. So here I am. I am asking for any support and donations you may be willing to give. These donations would be directly used for Jake’s medical expenses and his care to get him back to his normal self. His road to recovery will take MONTHS! With your help, and the God above, we can get Jake back on the right track. Anyone that knows Jake, knows that he has a heart of gold. He’s the kind of guy that will go out of his way to relieve burdens and inconveniences to make your life easier. His entire life, my younger brother, Corey, and I have looked up to Jake. He’s always taken care of us and now we want to return the favor. Jake is an energetic person who loves spending his days laughing and getting close with his friends, his wonderful dog Louie, and his family. I believe kindred souls like Jake’s deserve prosperity in this world. I hope that we are able to get him the help and medical care that he needs.
