Please Help Jake Gallawa Get Well

On the way to his bus stop Wednesday morning, January 4th, our 15 year old son, Jake was hit by a truck, whose driver that wasn't paying attention. He was close to his bus stop when he was struck and thrown over 30 feet. He has sustained life threatening injuries. Both legs were broken and he is suffering from severe internal damage to his kidneys, liver, spleen, and pancreas. He's already had his legs operated on-they have been repaired with plates and pins. He is in emergency surgery right now to try and repair his pancreas. He will likely lose his spleen in the process.
Jake is going to need a lot of time, love, and hard work over the next several months to get better. We are all very appreciative for the out pouring of encouragement from all. We started this campaign to help cover the expenses related to caring for Jake through his recovery. We are self employed, so there are no paid days off for us, but at least one of us will have to be with Jake 24/7 which means months of missed work. There are also a great many expenses that we will have to cover such as a wheel chair accessible vehicle and making our house more wheel chair friendly. Anything you can do to help will be very much appreciated.
