Please help Jade's 'Ohana with Medical Expenses

On behalf of Jade's 'Ohana, we want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for your support during this uncertain time. We are facing the largest trial yet as a family. Jades condition is still very fragile. To know him is to love him! Jade is an amazing Dad who loves his kids Jesse and Beau with all of his heart, he is a loving Husband, father, son, brother, friend, and the greatest Uncle his nieces and nephews could ask for (our uncle "potato"). He is the definition of FUN and so much more. Jade is an avid motorcross racer, who loved racing in the Mauna Kea 200, and the AMA Supercross!

Jade has always been a man for his community having 30+ years in the contracting/roofing business he constantly does his best to provide great service and always willing to help the people he has come into contact with. He is selfless and always puts others needs before himself, all while running his own business.

Jade was visiting California to support his friends mothers celebration of life. On Friday February 9th at 3:35pm while helping a friend on a roof Jade was in a tragic accident. While on the roof there was an Arc Flash, which resulted in Jade being flown off the roof approximately 20’ down, where he landed onto an iron fence and was severely impaled. He was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition, where he underwent surgery to remove the fence from his body, and provide treatment for his catastrophic injuries.

Jade has suffered burns on 35% of his body and will need multiple procedures of extensive skin grafting for his 3rd degree burns. Jade will need long term hospitalization and monitoring. Due to the severity of his injuries, his doctors have asked us to prepare to be in California for a minimum of 3 months as he undergoes his surgeries and healing.

The Leitner ‘ohanas future is uncertain right now, but we are going to do everything we can to help Jade and his family. With your help, we are humbly asking for support with Jade's hospital and rehabilitation expenses, even after insurance costs will be overwhelming. They will have unforeseen housing expenses while Rachel stays in California with Jade. In addition to maintaining the above mentioned there will be expenses to operate the day to day costs. Jade is the owner operator of the family business Kamakani Roofing. Your donation for our family means that we can be here to support Jade’s recovery.
