Petie is the sweetest doggo in the world. He loves snuggles and folding his hands like a gentleman when he lays down. Recently Petie started limping and grew a large mass on his back leg joint. The vet has tested it and thankfully the tumor is benign, but it grew into the muscle, ligament, and tendons in such a way that it cannot be safely removed without amputating the leg. Jacob and the vet are both confident that Petie will be able to live a long and comfortable life as a tripod doggo, but the vet bill is the next mountain that needs to be overcome. Jacob has already gone into debt for Petie's X-rays, cancer screenings and various medications. The surgery needs to happen quickly as the tumor has broken through the skin, which makes it easy to get infected, and poor Pete is very uncomfortable in his cone of shame. The vet says Pete is in excellent health other than this tumor which is causing him pain and irritation. Jacob has scheduled the surgery for April 16th.
