We are raising money for Jack who's home was swept away during the floods earlier this month. It was found against Benson Weir (on the Thames). The water has now receded and the boat is left high and dry. Tosca is a 1912 45ft Dutch Barge which Jack has been painstakingly renovating over the past 3 years, he is currently sofa surfing on friends boats and his cat, Morgan, has had to be rehomed. The authorities don't seem to be interested in helping him. The insurance company has said that he needs to move the boat at his own expense first before they will discuss a claim, if at all. He needs to raise money to hire a tug boat with a crane and initial discussions have suggested north of £6,000 which he hasn't got. Any excess funds raised, or should the insurance decide to pay out, will be given to other boaters in a similar predicament.

Jack has said that asking for charity makes him physically sick, but he has no other option.
