Please Help Jack Beat FIP

Hi everyone. Our sweet boy Jack finished FIP treatment early July and had been in his observation. Jack had been doing really well and we were so excited to finally be done with treatment and have our healthy kitty back. At about day 41/84 into observation things took a turn for the worse and he began experiencing neurological symptoms that we hadn’t seen before. Things escalated quickly to the point where he could not walk or even stand up, all in the matter of a day. He lost all his strength in his limbs, wouldn’t eat or do much of anything. We were beyond scared and stressed and honestly we couldn’t understand what was going on so we took him to the emergency vet and consulted with several professionals. Due to his symptoms and the information we received, we feel strongly that Jack may possibly be having a neurological relapse. Relapses can happen for a lot of reasons, but overall the reason is that we did not get all of the virus during the initial treatment. Sometimes this can be because neurological issues can progress slowly and have little or no symptoms leading to a neurological FIP diagnosis being missed. A lower dose may successfully suppress the virus in the brain throughout treatment but then this produces a neurological relapse when the treatment is ended. At this point we had several options on what to do: see a neurologist and spends thousands on testing, run multiple tests to rule out things and try to find more answers, try FIP treatment again to see if responds and see if this is truly a relapse, or put him down because of his quality of life. It has been a very hard decision but right now, our hearts and every being in our body wants to give him a fighting chance and we made the choice to try FIP treatment again and see how he does. We cannot believe this is all happening but we love Jack so much and want to help him one last try. The ER visit, testings plus FIP meds have already cost us so much. If anyone can please help and donate, we would greatly appreciate it.
