Im delighted to have qualified for European and World Championships for 2 years running. This year the European Championships are in Tblisi, Georgia (21st and 23rd February) and the World Championships are in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (start of April).

I started fencing when I was 4 years old for fun but then after covid I started modern pentathlon which is when i took fencing seriously.

I was first selected to represent GBR in cadets (u17) when I was 12 and have gained lots of experience over the past 4 years. This included winning a European circuit event in u14 event in 2023 (Sofia, Bulgaria) and finishing the season 2nd in Europe at u14. I also got selected for GB in the u17 modern pentathlon European Championships in 2024 and came 1st in British Nationals 2024.

This season has been very up and down, I started by coming 3rd in British Nationals 2025 and going to my first senior satellite and getting a L64 as the youngest fencer there. Then, I compressed a disc in my back and struggled to perform at events / pulled out of events due to this. However, I was fully over injury by the end of November and got 3 x L32 results to qualify for Europeans and Worlds.

Im currently 2nd in U17 GBR rankings, 9th in U20 GBR rankings, 11th in U23 GBR rankings and 21st in senior GBR rankings. Internationally, i’m 70th out of 786 in U17 which after the majority of the season out, I’m very pleased with.

Costs over the season to cover training, domestic, international events and physio cost around £12,000.

The expected costs for the European championships in Georgia are around £1800 with expectations of the World Championships in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil being around £3000.
