Hi everyone, my family could really use some help. We are beyond distraut, but happy to be alive. We lost our home and all of our belongings in the Palisades Highlands. Currently living in the only hotel room we could find that is 50 minutes away. :( We do not have extended family to stay with, and will be completely rebuilding our lives from stratch. My mom was not home like the rest of us were because she was at work in the village. I feel terrible because she had so many memories and items from her mom that meant the world to her, and she didn't get the chance to take anything. Same with photo albums etc. I know I am young and will have the chance to rebuild my life, but watching my mom go through this is breaking my heart and I had to find a way to help. We have no idea what the future holds or how we will make it back to west LA.
