Hi, it's me Ian. As a lot of you might know, I have been fighting Stage IV colon cancer since June of 2018. I have completed 36 rounds of chemotherapy and 23 rounds of radiation in that time. I have also had 20 surgeries in that 6 year period. I most recently had a pathological fracture in my right arm and had that repaired back in June. At that time it was discovered that the cancer at my C7 disc that was surgically removed and radiated 18 months prior had become active again. So, in July I had surgery again to remove the cancer from C7 and then 5 rounds of radiation. So far it has been successful. However, the past 2 weeks I have been having bad pain around my neck and upper back, so I went to emergency, they did X-rays, CT scan and an MRI. They found a very large tumour at my C3 that is starting to press on my spinal cord. Unfortunately, surgery is too risky at this time, so next week I resume chemotherapy and then radiation with the hope that surgery may be an option after treatment. It was also discovered yesterday that I have another pathological fracture in my right humerus bone, and it will need to be repaired, but thankfully the pain is being managed well.
I have set this campaign up to catch up on some monthly bills that are piling up, along with the notice that my rent is being increased on January 1st. People ask all the time how they can help me or what do I need help with. This helps me more than you'll ever know, and I thank you. Or a text, phone call or visit. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. Sharing helps too.
Thank you, love to you all.
