Ian Heidenreich and his family

Ian Heidenreich, my friend and previous coworker, was eager to attend the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami. Ian and his friends wanted to enjoy Miami Beach after a long day of traveling, so they ran into the ocean without a care in the world. In just minutes, they had drifted far from where their toes touched the sand, with a strong current keeping them from making progress towards the shore. Ian was the first to cry out for help, then the panic set in. Unfortunately, Ian's heart had stopped before being rescued after fighting for his life for several minutes. Using a defibrillator, the paramedics revived his heart and rushed him to an emergency room at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Ian is currently in an intensive care unit where he is intubated and connected to an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) machine, which is externally supplying his body with oxygenated blood, giving his heart and lungs time to recover. Ian will stay in the ICU for at least another month, hopefully making a full recovery. Ian may never be the same charismatic, outgoing comedian he once was. We kindly ask you to make the Heidenreichs' long road ahead of financial burden easier by donating, but, regardless, please pray for Ian.
