Please Help Hunter Donohue
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kimberly Eckert, and I have known Hunter Donohue, a 25-year-old male, for 18 years. Hunter is a great guy and is always willing to help anyone out. On March 28th at 8:00 am, that is exactly what Hunter was doing. He was alone in the woods, using a chainsaw to help a friend’s dad cut down some trees. Tragically, the chainsaw got pinched during a cut, and it jumped abruptly from the tree into his lower left leg. The chainsaw cut through his flesh to the bone, severing major arteries, nerves, and veins. Hunter was strong enough to use his own shirt to tie a tourniquet and crawl several hundred yards to the ATV, where he used his cell phone to call 911. He was rushed into emergency surgery, where the doctors commented that he was very lucky to have not bled out. Hunter was just released from the hospital after 15 nights, 5 surgeries, and significant pain. He has at least two more surgeries scheduled to deal with repairs to nerves and skin grafts. The nerve damage and recovery will be a long and tedious process, but we are all praying for the best. This was a freak accident, and I almost lost my best friend and boyfriend of 2 years. Hunter is a great guy that had bad luck, and injury complications and now is saddled with a growing list of medical bills. He even must pay for an at-home nurse because his wound is too complicated to allow him to travel. I am hoping that we could raise some money to help take the financial stress off Hunter. I know that would mean the world to them. Any amount of donation will go a long way. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts & prayers.
