Please help Hubbell pay his medical bills!

Last week, Hubbell became very ill. He was vomiting and wouldn't eat. He is only two years old and has been the picture of health. Something was very wrong. I rushed him to my veterinarian, Dr. Koroknai at the Bathurst Dupont Animal Hospital here in Toronto. They did bloodwork and then it was time to wait.
My worst fears came true when Dr. Koroknai phoned me - on a Sunday morning,  from out of town - with the results of Hubbell's bloodwork. He had ingested a toxic substance. My sweet little boy had ingested POISON. It is every pet owner's worst nightmare come true. I started shaking. My brain was in a fog. How could this have happened? What had I done? I felt terrified. My hands were clammy, my mouth was dry and I could barely breathe. It would be up to Dr. Koroknai to save my Hubbell's life.
We have been living this ordeal for over a week now. Every day, I take Hubbell to Dr. Koroknai and he has to stay there for intravenous treatment. His blood levels have been off the charts. At one point, his creatnine was 1,198 - it's supposed to be 80. His urea was 68 - it's supposed to be 5.7 to 13.2. That translates to a terribly sick cat who needs treatment every day until these levels come down.
Dr. Koroknai is a gentle and discreet man. I asked him if Hubbell was going to die.  He replied, "I don't know." I burst into tears and could barely function.
Fortunately, after six days of treatment, Hubbell's bloodwork shows his levels have come down. The treatments are working! Hubbell is getting better!
I didn't know how I could deal with the loss of Hubbell. For two years, this sweet, loving boy has been the centre of my life. One look at his great green eyes can melt me. His deep purr and the feel of his soft warm fragrant fur can take the stress out of the worst day. His antics, jumping after a catnip mouse or zooming around the living room fill me with joy. What would I do without him?
Fortunately, it looks like he is going to make it.
But he still has to go back for treatments. I already have a mountain of vet bills that need attending. My vet, Dr. Koroknai of the Bathurst Dupont Animal Hospital here in Toronto, is a kind man who is also practical. He has never pushed for invasive or expensive tests like biopsies. He has come in on his days off, researched possible causes for Hubbell's illness, consulted with colleagues, and really gone the extra mile. But he needs to be paid.
That's where I'm hoping you can help. I have already been overwhelmed by the generous support that has poured out of you - my friends, fellow pet owners, my community - who have given me strength to keep driving back and forth to the clinic every day. It's been awful to look at Hubbell's poor little paws and chest, where he's been shaved and bandaged up. Your support is helping us both heal. Dr. Koroknai and his amazing, caring, wonderful staff are doing their best. Now it's time for me to ask you to help me in a more practical way.
This is so hard for me to do. I know many of you are going through hard times because of the pandemic. I hate doing this but - can you please donate a little to help me pay Hubbell's medical bills? It would mean the world to me if you could find a few dollars to send my way.  So many of you have already expressed touching and compassionate thoughts, and I've been very moved. But this is real. Dr. Koroknai needs to be paid. I can't do it on my own. Please do think about helping us out with whatever cash you can spare.
