Please help Howard get a Disability Trike

Hi Guys,

Firstly, I am extremely embarrassed to ask anybody for help.  As 
someone who has always striven to help others I never thought that the position would be reversed.

So those for those not familiar with the story, I have had a passion for over 45 years for motorcycles, particularly VTwins like Harleys, Indians and Moto Guzzis.  Fellow enthusiasts will know that a 
love of these runs in the blood and is for life, not just skin deep.

Injury and illness have now taken a severe toll on me and apart 
bone on bone in the knees, I now have congestive heart failure andsarcoidosis lung disease as well as DVT.   I know that my riding 
days are over as I have enough trouble standing on my own 
feet, let alone getting my leg over a bike.

I am also not working despite applying for over 390 jobs in the lasttwo years which is the first time that I have not worked since 
leaving school in 1977.  I only have PIP as an income which is £360.00 per month.

I have until recently managed to walk at least a few hundred yards but now that my cartilage in my knees has completely gone and 
the lung / heart issues leave me short of breath even this short 
distance is a struggle with many stops.

I have found out that there is a mobility scooter that has its styling cues taken from Harley Davidson and is aimed at the biker who
can no longer ride.  For me to have one would open up the world 
for me again and make me also feel a part of the biking community again too.

I do not have nor have ever had a mobility scooter before and 
am not in the financial position to buy one.  I am therefore asking with much embarrassment for a helping hand please.

the Scooter is just under £4K but as I am registered disabled I do
not have to pay VAT on it so this brings it down to below £3,400.
