This is my friend, “Hope.” Hope is a 17-year-old who makes friends everywhere she goes, winning people over with her kind spirit and gentle heart. Hope has autism which makes verbal communication and transitions difficult. Hope and her family are unhoused after being unable to pay rent on time. Despite working long hours in the fast-food industry, shift cancellations and the rising cost of living have pushed Hope and her family into a hotel as a last resort for the holidays and the foreseeable future. Hope and her family are used to making tough choices regularly regarding food, their ability to access therapies due to the cost of gas, and daily living.

We aim to assist Hope and her family gain access to stable and safe housing. We aim to raise enough money for Hope’s family to have first and last month’s rent and a security deposit for a new home, and to give them a little breathing room over the holidays.

If you have extra in your life to help them out, they are good, reasonable, deserving people who would be overwhelmingly grateful for any kindness shown to them.
