Please help honor Wayne Chenault and support his family

My longtime friend Clayton, his lovely wife Diana, and their two sweet children tragically experienced a huge loss on the 21st of February when Wayne passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours in their home. Aside from the loss of a treasured member of their family; they now have to make plans for the sudden expense of services and cremation while still grappling with the grief of his passing. This comes after many years of Clayton and Diana helping to care for Wayne through rough spots in Wayne’s health. Clayton has always been a true friend to me, but his father had also become a valued pal in the little deli I work at in our home town. It would be a gift to lift some of the burden of worrying about memorial expenses and honor a man who was not only a mischievous person and hilarious character, but a man who helped to aid many people in their recovery through turbulence in addiction. He brightened my serving shifts, he always had a joke and a quip, and he always made me smile. I know I wasn’t the only one. I can’t speak for how overwhelming the loss must be for his family. I come to ask if anyone could help me in making this hard time one that isn’t focused on finances but in helping to celebrate the memory of Wayne Chenault. His family would like to celebrate his memory in the town where so many of his friends knew him, Ventura, which is an added expense due to distance, travel, and work arrangements but it would be the best place to celebrate his memory with the people he loved most.
