Dearest friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers.
It is with a heavy heart that I find myself sharing the passing of our beloved Thomasina (Tommi) Comeau on February 27th, 2026, from a long battle with cancer.
If anyone would like to attend and give their respects or say a few words for Tommi, a small brief service is scheduled in the Pieta/Chapel
St. Joseph’s Cemetery with Father Dolan.

Tommi was a cherished, loved, and adored spouse, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and overall AMAZING human being who brought so much love and light into my life along with all others who knew her. Tommi will be deeply missed by all.
As I try hard to come to terms with Tommi’s passing, I am faced with the difficult task of trying to arrange her final farewell and resting location, but unfortunately, the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming for me during this already challenging time.
With Tommi being only 57 years old, with years of medical bills consuming both our incomes, and being classed as “uninsurable” and never having been able to obtain life insurance because of her long-time illness, along with us both existing on small fixed disability incomes, it not only makes things now near impossible to pay, but equally embarrassing to find the need to ask for help and the kindness of others if possible.
Again, most embarrassingly, I find myself reaching out to our family, friends, and community for support in honoring Thomasina’s memory. Any contributions, no matter how small, will surely help alleviate some of the financial strain.
Funds raised will go directly towards the expenses of transportation, cremation, a family burial plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cleghorn/Fitchburg, MA, along with, most hopefully, a beautiful headstone, which unfortunately is seemingly the largest expense of all.
Rough estimates so far have been $3,000 for cremation, $4,000-$4,500 for a burial plot, and headstones can seemingly and easily range from $5,000-$10,000, none of which includes any labor or memorial services, etc.
Your potential generosity towards a goal of even half that total would be amazingly helpful.
I most sincerely appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support through all this sorrow. Your kindness means the world to me and the family as we navigate through our grief and this most difficult time.
Thank you in advance for your compassion.
