Please help honor the life of Minerva Quintela

We want to apologize this message has taken such a long time to post/write. We have tried so many times and could not find the strength or the words, as you can imagine. It is with a sad heart that on Tuesday June 14, our beloved mom, Minerva Morales-Quintela, went to be with our Lord. She entered into eternal rest after a strenuous battle with aggressive stage 4 cancer.

Minerva was a fun and loving mother, a caring sister and a kind-hearted friend. She loved all of her family members, including the 4-legged ones, and was always willing to help in all matters and situations. She was a lifelong resident of Marfa, TX and was known as a thoughtful and compassionate friend to all. She had a magnetic personality, an incredible sense of humor and a gift for making the people around her feel loved and welcomed, even when meeting for the first time with many she greeted and encountered at the Paisano Hotel in the 10+ years she worked there.

Many who cherished our mom have reached out to us and have expressed their sympathies and are asking how they can help our family during this time. This GoFundMe account has been created to ask family and friends for support and help with accrued medical expenses and memorial services. We are asking for any size donation as any amount will help ease the financial burden. Your generous donation is greatly appreciated. In addition, we ask for continued prayers and that we may find peace in our hearts and comfort in our souls.

The memorial services for our mom are still pending. However, we would like to request everyone able to attend to wear something yellow, as that was her favorite choice of color. We will announce the time, date and place of services as soon as it is known.

Heaven has truly gained an angel that will never be forgotten and will live forever in our hearts.
