Help Holly finish her masters!

I am leaving my pride at the door, and asking for your help as I find myself in a sticky situation financially and am doing all I can but some extra help would be really appreciated.

For those who don’t know, I am I going into my third and final year studying a masters in Art Psychotherapy, which also means juggling a lot; paid employment, uni work and 2 days a week of unpaid placement work which is what makes it all worth it, working with clients and gaining experience as an art psychotherapist. Postgraduate studies are not fully funded by Student Finance which, for my course leaves £2400 per year (£7200 in total) which I need to fund. I had secured additional employment over the summer which would support me in paying for my second year fees however, my circumstances have since changed which leads me to why I am asking for some help.

My now ex-employer, a very wealthy family who I was working for as their nanny, without prior warning served me my notice (through no fault of my own, just rich people disposing of me because they can), having decided they no longer need childcare service over the summer, despite them being aware of my situation prior to offering me the role and always very keen to have me stay as long as possible with them. I left a much loved job, of which I had been in for almost 4 years to nanny for this family, in the hope of more flexible hours, leaving a lovely team and good job security behind, neither I now have.

So, amen for my additional jobs I secured which will pay the rent and bills (just!) but now I don’t have the physical hours between now and 31st August when the fees are due to earn £2400.

If you do have a spare few quid you wouldn’t miss I would be eternally grateful to you. I’m aware everyone is struggling financially at the moment so if all you can send is positive thoughts I am still very thankful.

I’ll be so grateful for even the smallest of donation as it will help me get closer to becoming an Art Psychotherapist, hopefully graduating next year and getting a job, sharing the skills and thinking I’ve learnt to help vulnerable and often marginalised members of our society.
