His story:

Hello, my name is Marcos Porras. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and for

considering a donation. I'm a college student studying Music Education. Over the past

couple of months, my life has taken a turn in a completely opposite direction. I started

my college career at Texas Wesleyan University due to the lack of funds in financial aid

hindering me from attending NSULA. In a time of need, TXWES offered me the

opportunity to still attend college and receive an education so I wouldn't have to give up

on my dream of becoming a percussion director. However, with recent changes in

tuition, what was once a full tuition financial packet came a little short for this year of

instruction.

Normally, I would have worked and paid the difference myself; however, due to the

rigorous schedule of a music major/college athlete, I was no longer able to work at the

establishment where I worked, leading to my falling behind with tuition payments, car

payments, and insurance payments. And I haven't been able to buy my math textbook.

Although I don't expect anyone to go completely out of their way and cover all

these expenses, I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider donating and

helping to keep my dream of music alive. Thank you very much for reading all of this,

Porras y soy estudiante universitario de Educación Musical. En los últimos meses, mi

vida ha dado un giro radical. Comencé mis estudios universitarios en la Universidad

Wesleyan de Texas debido a la falta de ayuda financiera que me impedía asistir a

NSULA. En un momento de necesidad, TXWES me ofreció la oportunidad de seguir

estudiando y seguir estudiando para no tener que renunciar a mi sueño de convertirme

en director de percusión. Sin embargo, con los recientes cambios en la matrícula, lo

que antes era un paquete completo de financiación se quedó corto para este año

académico.

Normalmente, habría trabajado y pagado la diferencia; sin embargo, debido al riguroso

horario de un estudiante de música y deportista universitario, ya no pude trabajar en la

institución donde trabajaba, lo que me llevó a atrasarme con los pagos de la matrícula,

el coche y la aseguranza. Y no he podido comprar mi libro de texto de matemáticas.

Aunque no espero que nadie se desviva por cubrir todos estos gastos,

agradecería enormemente que consideraran donar y ayudar a mantener vivo mi
