Please help Hayleigh get back on both feet

Hey all,

This is not an easy thing for me to do, but I've realized especially in the situation I'm in need of help.

Last Monday I had a pretty bad fall. When arriving to the emergency room they had told us I was going to need surgery immediately. I have what is referred to as a trimalleolar fracture of my left ankle. Which essentially means I fracture both sides and the back of my ankle. After the X-rays and diagnoses the ER doctor successfully reset it and I left ER without surgery. There was still possibility but I was hopeful.

After getting the run around and being on the phone with my insurance company and any doctors office that would accept my insurance (which was few) for two days I was finally able to get into to a specialist. He view my X rays and without question insisted I needed surgery ASAP. I go in Thursday (10th) morning around 7am. From what I've been told its about a 3 hour surgery and by end of day I will be able to go home. They will essentially be mending my broken ankle bits with metal bits. However, the recovery will take some time.

That said, of course I'm nervous about surgery. I've never had surgery. However, what I'm most concerned about is not being able to completely be there for Sophie first and foremost but also not being able to work.

I'm not making rent, bills, food and necessities for Sophie and I. I've also been put under the impression that my insurance won't be covering some of my medical expenses. I will be reaching out to some charities through the hospital to see if I'm eligible for any help through those organizations. Honestly, I'm mostly concerned about keeping my roof and having a phone so I can still talk to Sophie while she's with her dad.

They guess I'll be out for a couple months. I'm hoping my super Hayleigh strength with speed that along.

I appreciate all of you for reaching out and checking in on me. I love being able to be a part of such a special community.

All my love,
Hayles
