August Meyer, lovingly known as “Gus,” is 25 years old and the sweetest son and friend anyone could ever have. Warm, kind, hysterically funny, and quick-witted, he has a way of putting everyone at ease within minutes. As a sales agent at CVG, he’s known as a top performer and a great guy. He’s someone who never fails to show up for others.
Now, he needs us to show up for him in a big way.
Gus recently suffered a severe traumatic brain injury after a fall at home. He just came out of a medically induced coma and off a ventilator. He currently has a trach and has to be held down with restraints in his ICU bed due to restlessness. There are still so many unknowns—how long recovery will take and what challenges lie ahead—but one thing is certain: Gus is a fighter.
It’s hard to imagine a world where Gus isn’t taking care of everyone else. As an only child and the primary caregiver for his disabled father, he has quietly carried that responsibility with strength and love, working hard to support them both and keep their home afloat. Now, with Gus unable to work and medical bills already mounting, the financial strain is immediate and overwhelming.
Please, this small family needs our help. If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. If you can’t, sharing this page truly makes a difference. Most of all, please keep Gus in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for helping us rally around someone who has given so much joy to others. If you knew him, you would adore him, too. I hope you get the chance one day.
** 100% of funds donated will go directly to cover Gus’s medical and rehabilitation costs as well as help support the household while he is unable to work.
