Hi.
I am fundraising for my relatives who lived in Mariupol Ukraine and are now wondering refugees in Ukraine.
Evgeni, Elena and Mile Gupalov are their names.
They were lucky to escape Mariupol during the bombing and drive to a more safer area in Ukraine. But they have lost everything they own. They lost their home, their possessions and the means to support themselves. They were not well off people who had savings, so their car is the only thing they own now. The picture of the bombed building below is what remains of their home.
It took them a month to drive through Ukraine with their small child mostly at night at the great risk to their own lives. During that time I had no contact with them and was fearing the worst.
I was so thankful when they finally contacted me and I knew that they made out of Mariupol alive, but now they need help.
They left everything behind and don't even have basic necessitates. I can only imagine how they must feel,
one day working as a professional, earning money and the next day being entirely dependent on the charity of others.
Their current reality is very dire. They are unable to feed themselves, clothe themselves and there are no jobs available for them. The small room they are renting costs $400 a month which I was able to pay for a while, but they need more help then I am able to give them. They already are thinking of selling their car - the only possession and a way of transportation they have, so that they have some money to live on. If they do that, and Russians attack them again, I am afraid that they won't be able to escape this time.
Please be assured, that every penny raised here will go to them! Please help me to help them be safe.
I thank you for your kindness and generosity.
