Please Help Guinness Get Back on His Paws

3 year old Guinness, a black lab mix my family adopted from a rescue about 2 years ago, is currently undergoing surgery to remove a foreign object from his small intestines. Unfortunately, my family does not have pet insurance and there are no payment plans for this type of procedure. Since last night, I've had to pay approximately 50% of the estimated total in order for the veterinary facility to admit him and will be responsible for the remaining 50% before he is discharged. In order to facilitate this, I've already had to obtain (2) separate medical credit accounts which will cover less than half of the anticipated balance due. I'm hoping to raise as much of the anticipated $6,000.00 total as possible to help alleviate the immediate financial burden of his discharge fees and the impending credit payments. 

To answer a few questions you may have: I'm 44 years old, gainfully employed and have never been without a job since I was 15 years old. I've worked with the same company for about 21 years and have never been on any form of public assistance. Having said all that, I'm a single parent who lives paycheck to paycheck, have just come through the other side of a divorce and I'm still putting my life and finances back together. A six thousand dollar hit isn't something I was prepared for. Yet, Guinness is a beloved member of our family and I authorized the procedure regardless of the financial impact it would have. Although I have HUGE personal reservations about asking for help with this, I'm hoping some of my friends may belong to animal oriented social media groups who specialize in this kind of thing and could share accordingly.
