On October 2, 2018, Griselda was diagnosed with a rare condition called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension that has caused the heart to enlarge and produce too much blood in her body that is now turned into toxic. At 38 years old Griselda is on stage 3 of her disease. Doctors do not know why she has this disease. . Only 2 in a MILLION have this disease and mainly men in their late 60’s through 80s. Griselda is the 12th case in California and their youngest person.
We all know health care cost are extremely high and no longer affordable. Let’s work together and make sure Griselda gets the proper care she needs and that she is able to get all her medication and is able to cover any other medical expense that may arise. Where is your donation going to? Here is a break down of her needs:
OXYGEN
$7,000 will help pay for a portable oxygen making machine which will allow her to continue being mobile and be able to breath. Griselda is in need of oxygen going up stairs or walking for long periods of time.
TRANSPORTATION
$2,000 - 5,000 to help get a car so she can get to all 7 of her doctor’s appointments. One in Huntington Beach, Her Heart and Lung Specialist Doctors in Fountain Valley. Most importantly Pulmonary Specialists and most crucial appointments which are at UCLA. (Her car was recently totaled)
MEDICINE
To help her with her with the cost of medical bills that are currently growing and are past 3,000. Once her study is over the cost of the medication will be the hardest part for Griselda. The cost of medication will be almost $1,500 a month. The only way she would be able to afford them is for her to go into full disability.
Griselda just recently turned 39 on December 5. She’s always been a hard worker and loves her job as a hairstylist for the past 11 years. It would be second big heartbreak to have to go disability this early in life. I believe if we all come together and contribute, this will help Griselda so much. She has a huge heart and is a very loving person. She always thinks of others and gives back to the community. In return let’s give back to her and show her how much she is appreciated and loved.
