Hello all and thank you for taking the time to read this. I have made this GoFundMe in attempts to save my kittens life. He was recently diagnosed with a  fatal condition known as FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) or known as the Feline Corona Virus. This condition is has a 100% mortality rate. With this treatment, I can give Griff his best chance at life.

It all started a few weeks ago. I noticed my little guy was less playful. Even more concerning he was starting to become very bloated. I started to get concerned and reached out to my local vet. I was unable to find a hospital willing to take me since we were new clients due to the Corvid19 Virus pandemic. So I gave him supportive care at home hoping he would improve. He still seemed playful and wanted to eat. A few days ago Griff collapsed. I thought he has died but a few moments later he was alert again. I rushed him to the nearest Vet despite everything and thankfully they were kind enough to see us for the emergency. The DR took an XRay and removed fluid from his abdomen. My worst fears were confirmed. My little Griff had FIP, the 'wet' form as it is called. Which is one of the more aggressive ones. The DR recommended that I put him down. But I could not do it then. Griff was very afraid and otherwise had a good quality of life. Griff wanted to live, so I took him home.

Many tears, hope, and research lead me to a group online called FIP Warriors with over 200,000 members all treating their successfully cats against this fatal disease. In 2019 there was a study done using a drug called  GS-441524 that had proven very effective against all forms of FIP. Many cats have overcome and are thriving after treatment. With the treatment cats have a 80+% chance of fully recovering.  Those odds coupled with Griffs current stable state of health give him a light at the end of the tunnel. After speaking with the group and doing more research I have decided to commence treatment for Griff.

The treatment calls for 84 days of injections and supportive care. So far Griff is responding well to the injections! He is eating, drinking, playing and overall still fighting to live.

This GoFundMe will cover the costs of the medications I cannot currently afford. By donating you will be helping Griff fight against this awful virus.

I want Griff to live a long healthy life. By donating we can give him the chance he deserves. Your support, or any kind, means more to me than you know. I love Griff with all of my heart and want to see him overcome FIP.

If you are curious to learn more, have a cat with FIP you want to help, or ect you can join the Facebook group called FIP Warriors. The community is truly wonderful. You can also look online for the details about the scientific study done with this drug by Dr Pedersen if you are looking for that sort of information. You can also contact me directly with questions about the fundraiser, FIP, or other ways you can donate.

Thank you all again. I am hopeful we can help Griff live.

I am also taking donations via PayPal and Cashapp if you would like to donate another way!
