Please help Greg & Leonor’s family recover from hurricanes.

Hello friends and family,

It is with heavy heart we finally have come to the realization of defeat. We have tried so hard to stay strong and push through, but it’s just impossible.

Our bank account finally is at zero and we are left with only the items we have with us.

It is with great sadness we are finally asking for help.

Our home is a total loss due to hurricane Hurricane Helene. We dealt with 5 feet of water in the home from a total over 9 feet of surge in our community. Hurricane Milton caused roof damage and destroyed what little was left of our home.

After hurricane Helene we rented a uhual and took our salvageable items to storage. This past week the storage place called to tell us the retaining wall in the back of the store had given out and caused the sewage pipes to burst. This had caused the units to flood and they needed us to work with their remediation company. We went Sunday to the storage unit and it was a complete loss. I finally lost my wit and strength to push forward.

We’re involved in the community. We help others. Leonor fosters dogs. Attends woman’s group. I teach and also attend men’s group. We do our best to give back to our community. During the weeks after the hurricane, Leonor helped distribute food to our neighbors. And helped our neighbors receive help from church. We have always just known to push forward, but now we’re here. We have exhausted our own funds to pay for as much repairs as possible and the insurance is yet to pay a dime.

Please help us recover from this nightmare. We lost it all. Are kids lost all their toys, clothes and shoes. They lost the meaning of normalcy. Please help.
