My name is Greg Wasmund. I live in affordable housing in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the Portland Apartments. We have a parking garage, and we have a decal provided by our management and with CommTow LLC, as it even has the CommTow name on the decal as well. I have lived there for 15 years since it was brand new. Throughout the years, sometimes they had a towing service that would troll the parking garage to tow cars that did not have a resident's decal on their car. For the last several years, up until last month, they/we had no towing services. They recently re-hired CommTow again to utilize their towing service. One of the new rules is that you cannot back your car into any spaces to park. Keep in mind, I have been backing in to park at least 90% of the time I've resided there. However, once I read the part about NOT backing in anymore, I stopped. Except one night, I absentmindedly did back in. My car was towed sometime around 3 a.m. last week. When I called CommTow to see if they had my car, they did and said it would cost over $450-$500 to release my vehicle and that every day that it's there, it will be an additional $30 per day. I live on $1500 a month social security disability. I have many doctor's appointments every week. I need my car. Any amount you can contribute will greatly help and be appreciated on every level. Thanks for your consideration.
