Gerlie, a domestic helper living in Dubai, discovered a small, needy kitten she named Goldy crying outside her gate one day. The kitten followed her around, prompting her to bring him into her workplace's backyard and provide him with food, as he was always hungry and thirsty. Since she started feeding him, Goldy became inseparable from her. Gerlie also makes sure to feed the stray cats in her area daily. Goldy's sweet and charming nature won Gerlie's heart, and she is reluctant to leave him behind when she returns to the Philippines. As a single mother, however, she cannot afford the costs of bringing Goldy with her.
