Our 2023 Gold Valley Little League Season was off to a great start with our opening day on April 8th. Unfortunately, sometime after they locked up the concession after games on 4/18, and this morning, someone broke into the snack bar. They pulled the electric meter to kill all power. Then they cut the lock off the outside door and use a prybar to open the inside door. Our cash register was stolen, several food items were taken and our door sustained significant damage. This is extremely disheartening. Gold Valley Little League is a small league providing baseball and softball to 100 children in our area. Because we are small, funds are always tight. The board members and additional volunteers have worked tirelessly since the previous season completing some long overdue and much needed repairs and improvements to our snack bar. We haven't completed all of the work but had enough done to be functioning on opening day. These updates are now delayed as we work to fix the damage from the break in and replace the items that were stolen. Part of our upgrades included motion security lights around the building, which have been spray painted black! The funds raised will go towards repairs, replacing stolen items as well as installing a more secure door and possible cameras.
