Please help give my aunt Kathy the farewell she deserves.
Donation protected
Today has been one of the hardest days of my life.
This afternoon, I held my aunt Kathy’s hand as she took her last breath. For the past six years, I have been her caregiver, and over that time she became more than just my aunt—she was my daily companion, my family, and my heart.
This last year has been an uphill battle as she fought to stay well despite being in the final stages of lung cancer. She was placed on hospice so she could spend her remaining days at home surrounded by the people who love her. There were several times we thought it would be the end, but God gave us more time—time we will forever cherish.
Over the last few days, her pain became overwhelming, and yesterday the hospice team was finally able to make her comfortable enough to sleep peacefully until she passed this afternoon.
Kathy did not have life insurance, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do—asking for help to give her the farewell she deserves. My family and I are doing everything we can to cover the expenses, but we are reaching out as a last resort.
If you are able to help, even $1 makes a difference. If you can’t give, we completely understand and would be so grateful for your prayers and love during this time.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, called, and kept us in your thoughts over these past few days. Your kindness means more than words can ever express. Please continue to pray for our family as we navigate this loss and lay Kathy to rest. Once arrangements are made we will update everyone with the information.
