Help Gidget Walk Again

Hi, my name is Justin, and I’m fundraising for my sweet dog, Gidget. She’s only 1 year and 8 months old, full of life and love, but recently she was hit by a car and suffered multiple pelvic fractures—her pelvis is broken in four different places. She’s an incredibly strong girl, but she can’t heal properly without surgery.

The surgery is estimated at $5,700. I had managed to save $2,900 from working again after a very difficult time in my life. Of that, I’ve already spent $2,000 at the emergency vet for blood work and X-rays to get her stable and ready for surgery. That leaves me with $900, which is everything I have left right now—but it’s not enough to cover the operation she desperately needs.

Right now, Gidget can’t stand, walk, or even go to the bathroom on her own. This type of injury will not heal by itself—surgery is the only way she can recover. Without it, I’ll be forced to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down, something I don’t want to do when she’s still so young and has so much life ahead of her.

Gidget means the world to me. She goes everywhere with me—she’s by my side at work every day and has been my constant companion through everything. When I first got her, my circumstances weren’t ideal, but I had the chance to rescue her from an abusive home where she was being mistreated. She’s been my best friend ever since, and now I’m fighting to give her the chance she deserves.

I’m asking for help to cover the remaining surgery costs so Gidget can have the treatment she desperately needs. Every donation, no matter the size, and every share of this fundraiser makes a difference.
