Hi, my name is Skye and I am fundraising for my cat Gertrude to have surgery.

Gertrude was rescued as an older pregnant lady by the Appalachian Peace Paws Rescue, in Morgantown, West Virginia, a couple of years ago. She was in a foster home for over a year before I adopted her. I adopted Gertrude because I wanted to give a senior cat her forever home!

Several months after I adopted her, Gertrude was diagnosed with a non-cancerous mammary mass. This was likely due to having kittens and being spayed at an older age.

After keeping an eye on her for a few months at my vet's request, it is time for her lumpectomy. Her mass has grown and she now has a second one. This past week she was treated for an infection due to messing with one of her lumps, she is uncomfortable.

The fundraising goal is the exact amount I have been quoted for the surgery. I am a student and cannot afford the cost of the surgery on my own. Gertrude and I thank you for any financial assistance you can offer!
