Hi my name is Ruby Guzman and I am in need of your help! My niece Geraldin Valencia at the age of 13 became very ill with viral encephalitis. It completely destroyed her ability to speak, move, and she was in a coma for a month. By God's grace she survived, despite the fact that Doctors gave the family no hope and sent her home with little days left to live. Before the illness she was a completely happy and healthy little girl. Geraldin enjoyed going to school and playing with her friends. After she woke up from her coma, Geraldin needed feeding and breathing tubes to keep her alive. Her mother, my sister, has cared for her and attends to her every need. Geraldin is now 28 years old. With my sister's consistency and ability to not give up, she has been innovative with Geraldin's therapy. Because of this Geraldin has surprised many Doctors with her ability to breath on her own, move her hands and talk more. Despite the progress she has made she is still bed ridden, she cannot walk, bathe herself, and she slurs her speech. But there is hope in a new therapy that may help her walk again but we cannot afford it because the treatment is too expensive and we are in-dire need of your help. Please make a donation. CONOCE SU HISTORIA
Geraldin Valencia, nació siendo una linda y saludable niña que creció bajo el amor y el cuidado de sus padres, pero cuando empezaba a vivir su juventud a la edad de 13 años enfermo gravemente.
Una enfermedad llamada: ENCEFALITIS VIRAL, destruyó completamente su movilidad corporal incluyendo el habla, dejándola en estado de coma por un mes.
El Diagnostico Medico fue: MUERTE CELEBRAL. y el pronostico para la familia era, que a Geraldin le quedaba poco tiempo de vida.
Le dan de alta del Hospital inmóvil, alimentada por sondas y sin habla.
Su Mama' de la mano de Dios y con la fe, que para El no hay nada imposible, tomo fuerzas, y con sus bajos recursos creo maquinas artesanales y empezó hacerle terapias físicas y de lenguaje. En
los últimos 15 años nunca se ha dado por vencida para seguir luchando por su hija.
Hoy existe la oportunidad que Geraldin, reciba un tratamiento de rehabilitación profesional, que dan una alta posibilidad de cumplir su sueño.... VOLVER A CAMINAR.
