George Cardenas, of San Antonio, Texas is a loving husband, father of 5 children, and 10 grandchildren. For all of his sixty-seven years, he has tried to provide for his family, even when it came at his own expense. For many years he drove a semi-truck to pay his family's bills until his high blood pressure, anxiety, and mobility issues caught up to him. Since then, he's been driving DoorDash to survive as the sole breadwinner for his family. He enjoys caring for his grandchildren, BBQing or fishing with family and friends.

About a year ago, he started having stomach pain, but when he went in to see the doctor, he was told that it was his anxiety. Like most people struggling to survive in this day and age, he took their words at face value and put aside his own fears, even when he started losing weight. The stomach pains persisted and he dropped twenty pounds.

In the last few weeks, his sisters noticed that his weight was dropping rapidly again and brought him to the emergency room. He is currently 138 LBS. He has been in the hospital ever since. He has been diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma, (Stomach cancer) which has now spread to his liver. The tumor is currently blocking his ability to eat or drink.

While Medicare will cover some of his medical bills he is unable to work and his family needs help to survive. Currently, he owes thousands for medical related care and thousands for rent, food, and other bills.
