Dear Friends,

My name is George and I need your help. I’m an American Staffordshire Terrier, but my great-grandma had a fling with a Mastiff (shhhh), so I’m quite big. Or so my humans say. I don’t see it. I’m 90 pounds - isn’t every dog?

My first two years were scary and difficult. Then my humans took me in, loved me, and gave me confidence. I’ve always tried to be a good boy … except for the time I ate the Costco chicken off the counter. My vet said I had good taste. She likes Costco chicken too!

Now I love snuggling with my blankets and showing off my stuffed lamby collection (ducky-lamby, froggy-lamby, avocado-lamby… you get the point). They are soft and wonderful. I even love my prima donna boss cat sister. She’s soft too, but she kinda scares me.

We just found out I have cancer. I don’t know what it means, but I need surgery and radiation therapy ASAP. The vet estimated $14,000! We’re hoping to raise $9,500 to help pay for my treatment. My prognosis is good if I get the treatment, and I’m only 8, so I still have lots of snuggles and belly rubs ahead of me.
