Some of you know that Garbo has had her share of health issues over the last few years and the last few months have been even more of a battle. Here's her story. She was diagnosed with kidney disease during the height of the pandemic. Soon after, she developed tummy issues, which we are treating as IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), but it could also be lymphoma. Both have similar symptoms, and only a biopsy can truly determine which one. Right now, Garbo is on prednisolone, but needs more care. She's on a special, canned food diet and an array of supplements, but she needs to have an ultrasound done right away and she also needs to see a cardiologist, to determine our next steps.

A lot of you may know that the film and entertainment industry has been incredibly slow over this past year, which is my line of work. It's been challenging to say the least and with Garbo's outstanding and rising vet bills it's been a huge struggle. I have drained my bank account and maxed my cards to care for her. I'm raising funds to cover Garbo's vet bills, including her blood tests, urinalysis, ultrasound, x-rays, specialists' fees, medications, supplements, fluids, specialty food, and other expenses.

Garbo still has a great appetite, eating about 3-4 cans of Weruva low phosphorus chicken formula, which she loves after being a picky eater all her life! She still jumps up onto my bed and jumps up to sit in the window to bathe in the morning sunlight. She loves going for walks and yes, she walks on her leash like the dogs in our neighborhood. Sometimes I think she believes she is a dog.

Garbo came into my life as a five-week old kitten after she ran through the rain towards my mom and into our garage. She has been my companion since and has even traveled with me to Los Angeles. She is a true adventure cat, sometimes even traveling with me for work or to visit family (before the pandemic).
