Hi everyone,

My name is Jeremiah Waysome and I am incredibly proud and excited to have been offered a place to study BA (Hons) Musical Theatre at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd) for the next 3 years – a dream I have been working towards for a long time.

Musical theatre has always been my greatest passion. I found comfort, confidence, and purpose in performing from a young age, whether that was singing, dancing, acting or modelling and since the age of 7 I have had the opportunity to be cast in professional productions, both international tours and in the West End such as The Lion King, Kinky Boots, School of Rock, Caroline Or Change and The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole.

I have just finished my training at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts where I was granted an assisted boarding place for the past 5 years which has further solidified my passion and dreams for the arts. Tring Park School laid the foundation and showed me that my dream was within reach.

To have been accepted into one of the top drama schools in the country is an incredible honour, but it also comes with significant financial fee. I come from a loving and supportive family, raised by my young parents who have always done everything they could to encourage my dreams. However, as you can imagine, being young parents hasn’t been easy. They work incredibly hard to support me and my younger sisters, but despite their sacrifices, there simply isn’t enough to fully fund the tuition, living expenses, and other costs linked to the course.

That’s why I’m reaching out for help.

The annual course fee is quite substantial at £18,333 and I am actively seeking all available financial assistance for the next three years. Unfortunately, I narrowly missed out on the prestigious Andrew Lloyd Webber Scholarship, however, I am determined not to let this setback hold me back. I am currently working on securing a part-time job and any donation, big or small, would go directly towards the tuition fees for my training.

ArtsEd is more than just a drama school; it’s a launchpad for individuals like me who have the dedication, skill, and passion to pursue a career in the arts. Financial obstacles should not stand in the way of pursuing my dreams and with your support, I will be able to train at one of the best institutions in the UK, work towards a professional career as a performer and hopefully inspire others from similar backgrounds to follow their passions as well.
