Please help fund Marisa's medical journey

Hey I’m Marisa this is my story, I am 18 and live in the UK, I live with multiple chronic illnesses including; Delayed Gastric Emptying, Intestinal Dysmotility, Dysautomnia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

I have struggled with gastric issues for the past 5 years. I have had many investigations and procedures which have concluded I have Delayed Gastric Emptying and Intestinal Dysmotility. This means that my whole digestive system is very slow which causes me a lot of pain and occasionally I throw up when I eat, therefore I have a nasojejunal (NJ) tube which is a tube that goes through my nose past my stomach into my intestines

11 weeks ago I was admitted to hospital for non-epileptic seizures, a week later I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). FND is the dysfunction between your nervous system and the brain, meaning the brain sends the wrong signals all throughout the body. For me this causes: seizures, functional tics, muscle weakness, speech difficulty, tremors, uncontrollable shaking and muscle spasms

Seizures are a main part of my FND so much that I have also been diagnosed with Non Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD)

I have been mute for over 4 months due to FND and PTSD, this means I am unable to communicate verbally so I am receiving speech and language therapy regularly alongside psychological support.

I would use the money for my healthcare costs and anything else I might need, such as a wheelchair for my limited mobility due to muscular weakening (at the moment, even standing is quite tough for me). Secondly, I've submitted an application for a medical alert dog to help me detect and manage my seizures. I would really like to get out of the hospital and this is my aim but we can’t do this without the right help and unfortunately this doesn't come at a cheap cost. being in hospital is making my PTSD symptoms worse due to medical trauma so getting out of here is my ultimate goal

I don’t usually like asking for help or money but finding the money to fund my medical expenses can be hard at times. Having this would be a huge relief to me, lift a burden off our shoulders, and provide us with one less thing to worry about. I appreciate it very much in advance.
