Dear family and friends,

 

A year and a half ago we lost our son to drugs. He’s alive but not in a good place.

We never thought this would happen in our family. Especially to one of our own.

Gavin is a sweet, loving and caring person until he sought drugs to numb his pain. He has a son, Kaiden, he practically raised until he was 4 years old. Then Kaiden's mother changed everything. Gavin became deeply depressed and started using drugs after losing custody of his son and visitation rights were limited to 2x per month, then taken away completely. We can blame no one for Gavin’s choices and actions yet drugs steal, kill and destroy lives. Gavin got caught up leading him to make horrible choices while using drugs to just survive. He is remorseful and sick as his head clears. He is currently in a detox program for 10 days, then rehab for 21 days. He will have weekly group and individual therapy and learn how to best take care of himself while getting clean. When he is clear and back on his feet, the program will help Gavin find a job and reconnect with his son. He is at rock bottom and has lost everything. It is a long road ahead, and your support means the world to us. Any contribution you can make for Gavin’s detox, rehab and sober living will be greatly appreciated. We are asking for any help for him and the family to save Gavin’s life in this sick world of drugs and come back to his family. Help is out there and he desperately wants it.
