Please help fund Daisy's treatment

Hello - I’m Donna, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart to share about my dear sister, Michelle, and her husband, Antony, who are desperately trying to fund the treatment for their beloved dog, Daisy.

Daisy is an 11-year-old warrior who has endured so much in her life. From spinal surgery to hip surgery, she’s truly a tough little cookie. Despite all the challenges, she remains a cherished member of their family. Sadly, her medical expenses have accumulated to a point where her insurance coverage isn’t nearly enough for her current needs.

Recently, on 24th September 2024, Daisy suddenly stopped eating. This was a shock, as she usually has such a big appetite. Despite Michelle’s best efforts to coax her into eating, nothing worked. After multiple vet visits over three days, they finally admitted Daisy for a more in-depth examination. The scan revealed potential issues with her liver, and they warned that it could be serious, possibly even cancer or hepatitis. She needed immediate care at a specialist vet, Pride Vets in Derby.

As of today, Daisy is still under their amazing care, and her loving family anxiously awaits the results of her tests. Michelle and Antony are heartbroken, grappling not only with the fear of losing Daisy but also the overwhelming stress of how to manage the financial burden of her treatment. The estimated costs for her continued care were from £4,000 to £6,000. The costs currently stand between £6,000 and £7,000.

Michelle and Daisy share an unbreakable bond, and the thought of losing her is more than she can bear. Daisy has been a source of comfort and joy, especially after Michelle and Antony faced heartbreaking challenges with miscarriage and infertility.

As a family, we’ve always been taught the value of hard work and helping others, and it’s difficult for us to ask for support. But right now, Michelle and Antony need our help more than ever.
