Please Help Fund Arnold’s Heart Surgery

Donation protected

My husband Matt and I found out about Arnold when we were visiting family in rural Idaho. He was the runt of his litter and was born with a condition called PRAA that is restricting his esophagus.

Arnie needs surgery to remove the restriction from his esophagus so he can eat and grow properly and live a healthy and normal life. He was scheduled to be put down as the family who had him couldn’t afford the surgery, and there weren’t any vets in the region who perform this type of procedure. We couldn’t let this sweet little guy go without a fighting chance, so we brought him home to Portland with us.

Arnie is scheduled for surgery at the Oregon State Veterinary Teaching Hospital this week and we’re hoping for help with the costs, estimated at $3,100 to $3,700. He’s the cuddliest baby and we’re looking forward to getting him the help he needs. Anything you can give helps!

We are able to and want to pay for a portion of the surgery ourselves, and will be donating any excess funds to the Oregon State University Britt Fund , which helps dogs like Arnie get help when their owners are in financial need.
